Has your cat chosen you
If a cat starts purring immediately when you start petting it, then that is a good sign .It’s the sign which says it trusts you. The trust is so important. Be a trusted companion. We are in the cats’ world. That is different from the dogs’ world. Dogs have masters but cats don’t. Forget about being a dictator in front of your cat unless you want it to hate you. Cats are much proud animals. But if you truly love them they would love you back very much
It is said that cats wave their tales to show their anger. But I don’t think this is true all the time. They wave their tale when they are playing or up to some hunting too. But it is wise to watch out as they can be much aggressive when they are angry. And you know they got sharp teeth and nails right? Don’t get involved when they are too angry.
If you can spend a little time with a cat each day, it will adore you. Unlike humans it will show that to you by peeping secretly behind you, or sometimes running in front of you (especially if it is a kitten).
You should always feed them on time. There is no proper time for it. But they are much aware of the time you usually feed them. So remember to do it even when you are busy with your own work. Kittens love to play after meals. It is said that if you can play with them, that makes their stress level go low. Believe me! It can lower your stress level too.
Pay attention to ridiculous things they do. When they know you are paying attention, they will be encouraged to do more. This way you can have lot of fun with them. But when it exceeds the limit, it is okay to interrupt .Yet I don’t think punishing much helps to stop their bad behaviors. Instead of changing the behavior they will start to run away from you thinking that you are someone to be afraid of. This happens since they cannot understand the reason.
So be careful with it. You may find much easier ways to stop bad behaviors from animal behavior specialists (using internet).
Have a nice time with your pet and be the first choice of your chosen pet. That way both parties will be satisfied about the relationship.
Do you have a cat as your loving pet? Or do you plan to have one in near future? Then my friend, loving and feeding alone would not complete that remarkable relationship between you and your pet. Understanding is the key of success in any relationship and it is not different here. For more, visit my website .

Cats Spraying and What You Must Avoid at All Costs
This is a tough question because the cause for spraying can occur for different reasons, perhaps your cat has an infection or she (or he) does not like a change that has occurred in your home. Before you get desperate over your cats spraying your carpets, shoes and clothing, perhaps you should ensure that you have avoided all of these things first.
One of the most common reason for cats spraying all of a sudden, is the fact that you have moved their litter box. Perhaps you only intended on moving it for a day or two because you didn’t want guests tripping over it in the bathroom, or maybe you thought a different place would simply be better, but the bottom line is that cats love consistency.
As such, if you have moved the litter box, it is entirely possible that you have changed it to a place that is not agreeable with your cat. If it is necessary to make the move, then ensure you don’t place the litter box in a room that the cat is uncomfortable with and also ensure that it is not near your cats food and water.
Another thing to avoid is changing your cat’s kitty litter. Now, this may seem like a small thing to you, but again, cats prefer consistency and will not like it if you make a change. Cats particularly do not like the smell of citrus and cats may not use the litter box if you use a kitty litter that has a citrus base to eliminate smells.
Lastly, at all costs you should not ignore the possibility that this is a medical problem. Cats may spray because they have an infection of some kind.
Take your cat to the vet, especially if you have not made any other changes in your home to ensure that he or she is healthy. You do not want to ignore this problem only to find out a simple treatment could have stopped your cat from spraying.
Isn’t it time you discovered why most cat training aids don’t work, and how to get inside your cat’s mind and quickly teach them perfect behaviour from any age?

Hybrid Cats Represent Fashion at a High Price
Before we knew it everywhere you would look you would see a flock of Chihuahuas and designer dogs under the arm of almost every pet crazed teen and trendy ‘wannabe’ out there. Retailers were even selling gemstone flocked attire and pet purses that matched the pampered canines.
I remember to my surprise when I was vacationing in Florida, I stopped at a small pet boutique to do some browsing and a woman reached in her purse and pulled out a mini- dog! It easily fit in the palm of one hand! The poor little dog just sat their shaking as the owner drooled and made over it like a baby. Whatever!
Well it seems as if Designer Dogs are yesterday’s news, designer cats are the next ‘Chic’. Designer Cats are seemingly becoming the latest trend in the Hybrid Pet Craze, but at what cost?
Breeders are taking the plain old domestic cat and cross breeding the animal with an Asian Leopard or even a Jungle cat! These are the Hybrids that are going for a very hefty price tag anywhere from a few hundred dollars to around $20,000.00.
It has become more of a style statement than anything else. These Hybrid Kitties are being bred just for the mere fact the breeders know they can make some serious money with these pets. They don’t tend to take into consideration what damage they are doing to either breed of the cat. Cross breeding is not a good idea as it destroys the bloodline and DNA of pure bred cats, this also results in medical ailments which can in turn rack up some seriously high Vet bills.
This isn’t stopping the elite and wealthy from going out and purchasing these felines to add to their own family tree. For those whom money is not an object, they rarely think about what conditions these animals initially came from. The problem is many of these pets are bred day in and day out and their bodies are not able to recover fully to regain proper strength and stamina. Many cats at these breeders are not receiving medical care and are not up to date on their shots, putting them and others at risk of getting very sick. Most breeders only care about putting money in their own pocket and not focusing on the care of the cats.
Because most of these animals are not registered, a question could be raised as to how the pets are being treated during the breeding and pregnancy stage. If a so called ‘Back Room Breeder’ is just in it for the buck, some of these animals may be in danger or at an increased risk for developing health problems, especially during their pregnancy and delivery stages.
The Hybrid cat scene has remained quite controversial due to the fact that they are selling for such a high price. Some breeders are trying to cash in on mixing pure bred felines with mix bred felines and selling the animal for much less than an exotic cat. What most owners don’t know is the past health problems of the breed and also what problems could arise due to the breeding of two different types of felines.
With designer kittens that resemble small snow leopards or mini black jaguars, the look appeals to all ages and serves as distinct gifts that some people may chose to give to the debutante or super spoiled brat who already has it all. These cats are merely being bred and sold to show off.
Truly it is hard to believe that most of these designer kitties will be loved and cared for as much as a farm cat or stray from the local humane society. Not to mention there are thousands of felines out there at the moment who need homes and also need to be spayed and neutered with adequate medical attention.
None the less, as with designer dogs, designer cats are the newest up and coming trend in the lifestyles of the wannabe chic and fabulous. Before we know it Paris and Brit will be toting around a darling little tigress instead of their yappy little pooches. Hopefully they realize they will need to leave the cat fights at home, not for the paparazzi. Wait, that will never happen.

Meds For Urinary Tract Crystals in Cats
Note that crystals form into small stones. Another names for buildup in the urinary tract is the formation of uroliths. Cystitis is a condition that is inflammation of the bladder, which can be caused by stone formation.
The use of medications for feline urinary stones or bladder stones is often considered the first line of therapy in some cases. But it should also be kept in mind that many pets are able to recover without the use of prescription meds for urinary tract crystals in cats. The only person who can really make this important decision is your vet. As soon as you suspect your pet may have a problem, make an appointment with your veterinarian. Some of the signs that your pet may have a problem include the presence of blood in its urine, noticeable difficulty in urinating, increased frequency, and urinating in places outside the litter box.
One of the first things your vet will do before prescribing any type of drug is conduct a physical exam. The vet will need to determine if there is any type of obstruction. An obstructed urinary system can be very dangerous and it needs to be ruled out right away. Thankfully, most cases do not involve an obstruction. Your vet will normally order a urinalysis to check pH level, blood, infection, etc. If something abnormal is found, other tests, such as blood test or ultrasound, may be ordered.
If after the exam and tests your veterinarian feels drug therapy is needed he or she has several options. One drug known commercially as Feliway, has been shown to have a calming effect on felines. Stress is often the number one cause of UTI’s in felines. Reduce the stress and you reduce the health problem. Other meds for urinary tract crystals in cats include amitriptyline which is used to reduce the level of pain and can also reduce inflammation. Corticosteroids can also be prescribed as a way to help reduce inflammation. Other meds for urinary tract crystals in cats are pentosan polysulfate, and in some cases the vet may order glucosamine. These are sometimes used to help heal any damage that has occurred in the lining of the bladder.
Alternatives to Conventional meds for Urinary Tract Crystals in Cats
The body naturally fights the accumulation of crystals via the bodies normal urge to urinate. Prevention of crystals is therefore dependent on the frequency of urination and the makeup of the urine itself. To increase urination consider adding more moisture to your cats diet through canned food. Make water readily available, even if you place more than one water dish in the house.
Also consider a natural supplement that is designed to maintain a normal PH in the urine. There are products that can be found by clicking the link in the author resource box with one such product. Another alternative is to try a prescription diet made to help prevent the formation of urinary stones. These products, such as Hill’s Prescription Diet s/d are only available from your veterinarian.
As you can see, your veterinarian has many options when it comes to prescribing the proper meds for urinary tract crystals in cats. But none of this takes place until you take your pet to the office for testing. Make that appointment as soon as you suspect a problem.

Cat Bladder Stones What Are They
Females will experience cat bladder stones more often than males. The reason for this is because the urethra (the tube where urine exits from the body) is shorter in females than in males. It is also much closer to the rectum which allows for more bacteria to enter the urethra, thus leading to more infections. As infections increase, the chance of developing a cat bladder stone increases as well.
While it is very possible to develop feline bladder stones due to infections, owners must remember that infections can be caused in a variety of ways. In many cases, the owner may not even notice the pet has a problem until the symptoms of the infection present themselves. This means that feline bladder stones often have plenty of time to develop before the problem is noticed.
The creation of feline bladder stones is similar to how oysters produce pearls. A small granule develops and onto this minerals begin to cling. As time passes, the particle becomes bigger. Once it gets to a particular size it will begin to irritate the lining of the bladder. If it gets too big, it may block the urethra, reducing the pet’s ability to void its urine. If the cat bladder stone is left untreated, it may completely block the urethra which leads to incredible pain and even life-threatening sepsis.
Only your veterinarian can properly diagnosis a feline bladder stone. He or she may recommend antibiotics to fight off any infections, and these usually do the trick. It is important to remember, too, that there are many types of cat bladder stones (struvite and oxalate) and only your veterinarian will be able to determine the type that is causing problems.. Knowing the type is important as this leads to the proper treatment regime. Many types of cat bladder stones can be treated with medications, but others may require surgery (oxalate). Only your veterinarian can decide which is which.
Dietary change and natural supplements can help keep struvite bladder stones from recurring. Products such as Hill’s Prescription Diet c/d Multicare might help to dissolve struvite stones and possibly help with the other type of stone (oxalate). These diets work by limiting magnesium intake and by helping your cat’s urine have a higher percentage of acid. You might also consider a switch to a canned cat food. Canned foods contain 80% more moisture than dry and will help to increase the frequency and amount of urination. If you stay with dry cat food, consider one that has a higher level of salt which will cause your cat to drink more.
Natural Remedies that are specifically made for cat bladder stones can also be helpful. Ingredients such as Arctostaphylos uva ursi, Berberis vulgaris, Cantharis and Staphysagris are recognized natural ways of helping to maintain the PH of a normal urinary tract system which will help to keep a cat bladder stone from forming.
It is also important to keep plenty of clean water available for your pet as this is one of the best ways to prevent cat bladder stones from forming in the first place. Water helps to dilute the urine, which in turn reduces the ability of the minerals to pack together and form a cat bladder stone. Also a clean litter box will help with the spread of infection.

Cats Make Great Pets You Know
This doesn’t mean that cats aren’t excellent companions though. They can be silly at times and they often enjoy curling up on your lap and purring. Your cat won’t come running when you are home at the end of day and knock you over. They also don’t lick or bite so you won’t have to worry about how they will interact with others when you have company. Cats always seem to be able to tell when you need some comfort.
Taking care of a pet can help a child to become more responsible but some pets just come with too much time required. A cat makes a perfect choice for children because they tend to take care of themselves. As long as they are given sufficient food and water they will remain happy. Indoor cats will have to be trained to use a litter box but most of them learn very quickly so you won’t have to deal with cleaning up such messes around your home. However, you need to clean the litter box regularly because cats do not like to use a dirty litter box.
Cats are clean animals as they spend a large amount of time grooming themselves each day. In the majority of cases, cats lead a very happy and long life without too many problems. They don’t cost very much because cat food and litter are very cheap. They don’t require as many vet visits for routine shots either like dogs do which can become quite expensive.
For those that have problems with mice, cats make a great natural system for taking care of them. This means you won’t have to deal with messy traps or dangerous poisons around your home. Many cat owners claim they haven’t come across a mouse in their home for years with this line of defense.
Cats are very precious and beautiful animals as well. They have a gentle hum to them that can be relaxing for humans. They have coats in all colors as well as eyes that are very shiny and bright. Each cat has their own personality and you just can’t help but adore them. There are many breeds of cats if you want a particular kind but some of the most beautiful cats are those that are mixed breeds.
Cats are very smart animals too so they will quickly catch up to what you like from them and what you don’t based on the praise you give them. Contrary to popular belief, cats are obedient and they want their owner’s to be happy with them. They will learn fast that you don’t like them scratching on the furniture or putting their tail in your face while you are sleeping.

KeywordRich Domain Names
Keyword-Rich Domain Names
By Jill Whalen – 6/27/2002
The myth of using keyword-rich domains for SEO purposes has been perpetuated for way too long, and quite frankly I’m tired of seeing it written about as if it’s an all-important SEO factor.
See for Yourself
Perform some searches in any spidering search engine and sure, you may very well find keyword-rich domains in the top spots. But upon closer inspection, you’ll see that the same keywords are also in the Title tags of those sites. Title tags *are* very important to high rankings; I daresay that they’re as important as body copy. Many see the keyword-rich domain name, and assume that’s what is causing the high ranking. Yet it’s much more likely that the high ranking is a direct result of the Title tag and/or the body text, along with the other usual SEO suspects.
Look at the Links
And let’s not forget about off-the-page criteria. The reason why some sites are in the top of the results isn’t always readily apparent by just looking at the site in question. Some rank highly simply because there are keywords in the hyperlinks pointing to the site. Google is especially susceptible to this phenomenon, which has been dubbed "Google Bombing" in the Web Blog world. If enough sites link to a site using the specific keyword phrase in the hyperlink, it can have a dramatic effect on rankings. David Gallagher recently interviewed me for his Business 2.0 article entitled "Top of the Heap," where he wrote about his quest to become the number-one site in Google for the phrase "David Gallagher." All he did was ask everyone who read his Web Blog to link to his site using his name in the hyperlink. Once the "Google Dance" for that month was finished, he was number one!
And no, his site does not have "David Gallagher" in the domain name. (As an aside, the sites he was up against were fan sites for the actor David Gallagher from the TV show "Seventh Heaven." You can read David’s article — and my quotes — in the July 2002 Business 2.0 print magazine.)
What About Directories?
With directories such as Yahoo!, it may appear as if keywords in the domain name make a big difference to rankings. After all, the directories are not spidering the words on your pages and don’t have much to go on to determine your position. But you know what? My very unscientific research shows that in actuality, keywords in the Yahoo! title are the more likely reason for top rankings. Remember, those that purchase keyword-rich domain names very often name their site the same thing as their domain name, and submit that phrase to Yahoo! as their title. For instance, a site with the domain of keyword-domains-r-us.com would probably be titled, "Keyword Domains R Us." As with the spidering engines, the words in the title are likely to be what’s boosting those sites in the Yahoo! results, not the domain name.
What the Engines Say
Just to be sure I wasn’t leading you down the wrong path, I asked Tom Wilde, General Manager of Search Services at Lycos, if domain names factored into their ranking algorithm. He told me that they are a factor in the Lycos algorithm, but since they’re so open to being abused, they’re a very small factor. He confirmed that the Title tag and the body text copy were given much more weight than the domain name. However, for those of you who just don’t feel comfortable unless you have keywords in your domain name, Tom did tell me that using a hyphen between the keywords would be your best bet for getting them recognized as separate words.
Don’t Worry About It
Since I’ve optimized hundreds of sites without ever purchasing keyword-rich domain names (and always get high rankings), I’m sticking with my "don’t worry about it" stance! Like the Meta keyword tag, domain names are definitely not something to obsess over. I recommend purchasing the domain names that work best for branding reasons. To me, YourCompany.com name makes a whole lot more sense than your-keywords-here-so-you-can-rank-high.com, no matter how you slice it!

Detagged Domains
Detagged Domains
By Clare Lawrence 29th September 2003
Clare is the CEO of Discount Domains Ltd a leading UK Domain name registration service
What is a DETAGGED domain name? We get asked this question regularly.
Only UK domain names can be detagged. A domain name that has been DETAGGED is no longer hosted on valid name servers.
What happens if there are no longer valid nameservers showing against a domain name?
If no valid name servers are showing this means that any services such e-mail or a web site will no longer work.
Who can DETAG a domain name?
Only a domain registration service or agent can DETAG a domain name. This happens if the relationship between domain name owner and agent expires, for example if the registration fee or renewal fee is not paid.
When are domain names detagged?
Domain names can be detagged at any point after registration. Detagging signifies the end of the relationship between the registration agent and the registrant.
It is not necessarily an indication of whether a domain name is paid for or not.
How can I tell if a domain name is DETAGGED?
You will probably notice that the email or web site associated with the domain name has stopped working.
You can check the status of any registration by doing a WHOIS look-up that will indicate that the domain name is DETAGGED.
How can DETAGGED domain name be retagged?
To restore a DETAGGED domain name, the registrant will need to pay a tag change fee of £15+VAT as of January 2004 to nominet via a registration service. Nominet charge a higher fee to deal direct with the owner.
Can I register a DETAGGED domain name?
A DETAGGED domain name is still registered to the original registrant, and it remains as such until it is either renewed by the current registrant, or it is cancelled. Once cancelled, it immediately becomes available for registration on a first-come, first-served basis.
How long does it take for a DETAGGED domain name to become available for registration?
Nominet contact the owner of each domain that is detagged and confirms if they wish to renew or allow each name to lapse.
If the domain is allowed to lapse then the domain name will be suspended after 21 days and then cancelled between 6-8 weeks after that.
For further information please visit Nominet http://www.nominet.org.uk .
