Cat Detectives?

Have you heard of Cat Mysteries? Seems they have been around a long long time, and I am embarassed to admit, even though I am a writer and have written a mystery myself "Murder Doubles Down" by Chuck Swope, Available on Nook (shameless plug) I didn't realize that cat mysteries was actually a sub genre of the mystery novel. Read the article before I give everything away.

The Case of the Feline Flatfoot

Bringing A Cat And Dog Together

If you have to bring a new dog into a cat's home, you have to socialize them slowly and carefully. I am going through that again right now and it's taking longer than usual because I have older cats and a younger dog. If you're trying to do the same thing, this article will help immensely.

"Praise your dog for appropriate behavior. Repeat this process a couple of times during the day. Step 3: Allow your dog to view your cat through the secure baby …"

As you can see, safety is the watch word. Always have your cat's safety in mind as your dog is the most powerful and dangerous of the two.

Amazing Cat And Bird Story

When I used to let my cats outside I was always taking birds away from them that they had captured. Most of the time I could save the birds from damage and they flew off right after I pried the poor thing from the cat's mouth. One time one of them came running into the house with a half grown Crow in its mouth. The Crow's wing was damaged so I put it in a cage and 2 weeks later I opened the cage and the Crow sailed off into the wild blue yonder. That was a pretty and satisfying sight. That's why I find the following story so darn amazing. What do you think?

I'm glad that peeps was given his freedom just like the Crow I saved. But I am still amazed these cats didn't eat him for lunch. Let me hear from you. And please share with friends.

Why Do Cats Meow?

Why to be heard of course. Elementary you say. But there are different meows for different wants or needs of the cat, if you will. They make different sounds to communicate different meanings. I can see by some of your faces that I have completely lost you. So let me just turn you over to the article and its author.

I have a new dog and it's a process  getting him properly introduced to my 3 cats. I don't trust him with the cats yet, so for the time being, we have to prohibit the cats from entering our bedroom where we keep the dog for the most part. We do that by putting a screen door on the bedroom entrance. One of my male cats objects to that and every so often comes to the screendoor and meows as loud as he can for several minutes. So you see, cats do communicate with varying meows.

I hope you enjoyed the article and please leave a comment and please share.
