Amazing Cat And Bird Story

When I used to let my cats outside I was always taking birds away from them that they had captured. Most of the time I could save the birds from damage and they flew off right after I pried the poor thing from the cat's mouth. One time one of them came running into the house with a half grown Crow in its mouth. The Crow's wing was damaged so I put it in a cage and 2 weeks later I opened the cage and the Crow sailed off into the wild blue yonder. That was a pretty and satisfying sight. That's why I find the following story so darn amazing. What do you think?

 I'm glad that peeps was given his freedom just like the Crow I saved. But I am still amazed these cats didn't eat him for lunch. Let me hear from you. And please share with friends.
