There are things you should provide for your indoor cats besides
food and a warm dry place to sleep. Now you must provide those things
but you need to go a step further...

Indoor cats get bored by being cooped up in the house 24 hours a day.
You can help alleviate that boredom by providing a perch by the
window to look out. Cats love to look out the window and perceive the
outside world. When it's sunny, I also open the front and kitchen doors
to let them look out the screen door.

Your cats also love high places. Outdoor cats will climb a tree.
Indoor cats not having a natural tree should be provided cat trees.
Indoor cats love them. You should provide your cats at least one
cat tree and 2 or 3 are not too many.

Indoor cats should also be provided plenty of toys to play with.
My cats love the Undercover mouse and the Laser Bolt.
The Undercover Mouse toy simulates prey and my cats go nuts over
it. They also can spend, what seems like hours, chasing that little red
dot from the Laser Bolt.

I also provide them with catnip toys. They love those too and will
content themselves for quite a spell, no pun intended.

I try to play with my cats at least 10-20 minutes a day.
Please take some time out of your day to play with your cats.
They will love it.

So the answer to the question "Can You Keep Your Cats From Being Bored?"
Is A resounding yes. You can, but it takes a little time and effort.
It's worth it for all the joy our cats bring to us.
